Code Red

If one were to exaggerate the immensity of these waves, it would be an understatement. An exaggeration of the guts that it took the surfers, the jet-ski operators and others that partook in this monumental event would also be an understatement. You have to see it to believe it.

Narrated by Laurie Towner and Dylan Longbottom, this film showcases the guys who went out on a day that was too big for the rest of us mere human mortals. The Billabong Pro Tahiti was called off; the government closed the beaches in the name of a “Code Red” due to the bombs exploding in the war-zone off the island that is host to Teahupo’o. But these guys went out. At one point in the video, when you look at the guys getting ready to go out, you have to wonder if they weren’t thinking: “Today is a good day to die.”

Take 15 minutes of your time to watch this video and be amazed.
